Cotton Dyeing:

  1. Pre Mordanting:

    Pretreat the Fabric with Alum @ 10% WOF

  2. Dyeing:
    1. Step 1: Boil the required amount of water till 80-90C.
    2. Step 2:  Add the required amount of Dye Powder/Liquid into the Dye bath and mix it well.
    3. Step 3: Dyeing can be done at Neutral pH, for best result shift to pH 5 by adding vinegar.
    4. Step 4:  Add fabric to the dye bath and maintain at 80C for 60 min.
    5. Step 5: Wash with non-ionic detergent(0.5gpI) at 60C for 20 minutes.
    6. Step 6: Rinse and dry the fabric in cool and dark place.
  3. Washing:

    Wash the dyed fabric with (4gpI detergent+1 gpl soda ash)soIution for 30 minutes at 4DC.

    6. Step: 6   Neutralising the fabric pH by dipping it into acetic acid or other recommended solution.
